Despite what Fred might post about opposing thumb locations, I chose , without persuasion, to enjoy a quiet Friday night in with the family, something I haven’t done for about 2.5 years. I hope that’s OK with everyone – Fred

A huge thuderstorm rolled all around us for hours on a scale unprecedented in Hobart before and we watched in awe as mighty neons with faulty starters lit up the heavens.

I’ll leave it to Fred to post a comment on the mayhem that surely ensued at the Pentouse in my freely selected absence.

What a busy day Sunday - too hot to do anything outside by 8am, so I pulled apart the light table given to me by Chris a few months back and rewired 4 neons into the enclave – LET THERE BE LIGHT!! (pictured below) - and another over the Lab area. Then, after breakfast, I finished off the 108 bottle rack for wine storage and draining empties, now the Edge Lab is finally producing fine ales!

Firstly, The Interrogation.
Location: RSL of undisclosed abode.

Private Parts and I joined an enourage of invited guests, dutifly lead by our Alpha male, Major Parts and his partner General Parts, with the Youngling Borgs down the end of the table, right up at the front of around 20 tables.

With bright neons beating down on our brow, the first duty was to name the table. Somehow we became the "Happy Campers"… I WANNA TAKE YOU TO THE GAY-BAR, GAY-BAR YEAH! While the Private and I tortured ourselves with jugs of liquid amber, the war vets started off with the "how hot can we get the room before anyone complains" test. Questions were filled out, questions asked and questions were answered. What more needs to be said. Except … we started off pretty well, pacing with 3 tables ahead of the others. Then one had a bad round. We were level pegged with the other table who were aslo up the front near us. Then we fell one down at the end of the questions. But WAIT!! Bags were passed around, and items were called for, each one worth a point. Stamps, library card, RACT membership, hairclip, a bottle opener, some brand of key – nup, a pre-decimal coin – nup, tweezers - Swiss army knife in the car & 2 more I cant remember. We came out 1 point ahead! Bottles of wine and chocolates all round – sweet!!

Anyway, IT’S ON … THIS WEEK … GIT UP ‘ERE !!! … C’MON … OI!! … YEAH, YOU!!
